Fifty Fabulous Frocks opens at Bath’s Fashion Museum today. In celebration of the museum’s 50th birthday, the exhibition will showcase some of its most glamorous pieces. Sneak peaks of the dresses have been released daily on Twitter (@Fashion_Museum) and visitors can expect to see historical pieces, like this 1800s tartan day dress, above, and designer creations from Chanel, Ossie Clark and Burberry. Fifty Fabulous Frocks will be running until the end of 2013, giving you plenty of time to get down there and check it out!
It’s not an event as such, but I just wanted to mention that the lovely Fix Up Look Sharp are now trading online at ASOS Marketplace – an ideal Sunday evening shopping destination. The boutique collection from cancer charity CLIC Sargent has only previously been available from the charity’s Shop on Gloucester Road venue, but now everyone can get their hands on Gemma and Ruth’s designs, with all the proceeds going to charity. All the pieces are upcycled charity donations – visit the site to see their full collection. I love their incredible ‘tenkets’ – yep, jackets made from tent fabric – take a look and let me know your favourites.
Have I missed any other local events? What are you up to this weekend?
