Rock The Week

Fashion related (and totally non-fashion related) things that have made my world go round over the last seven days…

Rock The Week 03/02/13

  • Red lips. This week I posted about my new Nars lip pencil. No biggie, but as I’m still sailing through uncharted waters when it comes to make-up, I was pretty chuffed with the colour. My skin has been stressing out for no particular reason recently, so it’s nice to perk it up with colourful lips.
  • Dinner and a show. The last few days have ticked multiple boxes as I’ve been out for dinner twice – risotto at the Tobacco Factory and a five course affair (including crème brûlée!) at Juniper on Cotham Brow – and on Friday we also went to see Mark Thomas perform Bravo Figaro. Best known for his People’s Manifesto book (well worth a read), Bravo Figaro is a very different show, based on the relationship between Thomas and his father. Although he’s no longer in Bristol the tour continues around the country and is well worth a ticket if you can get your hands on one!
  • Vintage dresses. On Tuesday I posted the dress I found at a vintage market in London a couple of weeks ago. It’s a polyester number, most likely from the 70s, and I bloomin’ love it.

  1. I should try out nars cosmetics! And I love the dress that you found! Absolutely beautiful!

  2. I haven’t been to the Tobacco Factory for ages…might have to rectify xx

  3. There’s nothing like a dose of red lipstick to lift the spirits considerably – it works every time for me!
